Portland Vibes
The overall message I am trying to convey is that I love Portland, Oregon. All of the photos were taken in Portland. I went to Portland for the second time last summer and it was amazing. The photos were taken at the Japanese Botanical Gardens (not including the selfie, but coincidentally my selfie was taken the same day!) The first layer is a close up of clovers. They had little water droplets on them and I had to get a picture. The clovers represent the memory of Portland and how gloomy it was that day. The second layer are a type of bell flowers. The flowers were on a lonely little stem with nothing surrounding it. It represents how something so little can stand out. The final layer is a coy fish. In the Botanical Gardens they had a pond where there were 20+ coy fish swimming around. I got this once in a lifetime picture when the coy fish came to the surface and stuck its head out of the water. It was really cool to be close to such a beautiful animal. It represents that moment in my life that I may never experience again. I used the opacity tool to lighten up the picture. I used the filters to make them lighter and more airy. I also used the lasso tool to make it isolated. I love Portland, Oregon so much and I hope that everyone gets to experience the beauty of that city and feel the Portland vibes. |
Rocks and Me
This is a photo of me with a picture of a rock formation in San Diego double exposed. This is different from my 5 layers picture because there is only one layer of pictures instead of 5. The rock formation reminds me of a good day at the beach just like the 5 layers picture reminds me of a good day. The process of making these is similar, but different. The double exposure is a lot easier to do than the 5 layers picture. The pictures are both in different places and have different ways of making it. There are way more layers and processes in the5 layer photography, while the double exposure has few layers and is a little less of a process. |
